Since 2010, we have been successfully training professional lifeguards for sea and pool, preparing them to respond with excellent skills in emergency situations. The training required to become a professional pool lifeguard consists of 15 hours of theoretical training and 10 hours of practical training. You must be between the ages of 18 and 60.
The theoretical instruction takes place at our offices in a classroom with all modern audiovisual tools, and the practical training is held at the OAKA swimming pool. The duration is one week, with training conducted 5 times a week.

All graduates must successfully pass the following athletic tests, without swimmer equipment:
1. Swim 100 meters (freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and side stroke).
2. Swim 50 meters, maintaining visual contact with the endangered person, in less than one and a half minutes (1' 30").
3. Retrieve an object weighing at least 3 kilograms from a depth of at least 2 meters.
4. Underwater swim at least 15 meters.
5. Tow (drag) the endangered person for at least 25 meters.

The required training to become a professional beach lifeguard consists of 95 hours of theoretical and practical training. You must be between the ages of 18 and 60.
The theoretical instruction takes place at our offices in a classroom with all modern audiovisual tools, and the practical training is held at the OAKA swimming pool. The duration is 4 weeks, with training conducted 5 times a week.

In order to obtain a beach lifeguard license, a speedboat license is also required. The exams are held at specialized centers, and registration is done through the Ministry's website (https://edla.hcg.gr/lifeguards/exam_dates/).

Required Documents
1. Completion of the Participation Application.
2. A photocopy of the applicant's ID card.
3. 2 color photographs of the applicant.
4. Speedboat license.
5. Certificates or statements from specialists (psychiatrist, dermatologist, pathologist, and cardiologist), either from private or public hospitals, confirming that the applicant is mentally healthy, does not suffer from a contagious disease, and is medically fit to practice the lifeguard profession.
